Filtration
Filtration refers to the operation of making the liquid (or gas) in the suspension (or solid particles, hot gas) pass through the medium under the action of driving force or other external forces, and the solid particles and other substances are intercepted by the filter medium, so that the solid and other substances are separated from the liquid (or gas). There are many ways to filter, and the material system is also very wide, solid-liquid, solid-gas, large particles, small particles are very common. There are three things to note when filtering: 1. The mixture in the beaker is stirred with a glass rod before filtration and then filtered. 2. If the solution is cloudy after filtration, it should be filtered again until the solution becomes clear. 3. Washing method of precipitation in the filter: add distilled water to the filter with a flask or dropper, so that the water surface is not covered with sediment, and repeat 2~3 times after all the solution is filtered out.
