TLC Plates & Adsorbents
Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) is a chromatographic technique used to separate mixtures. Thin layer chromatography is an extremely important separation method in analytical chemistry, especially for the analysis of organic compounds. Thin layer chromatography is performed on a glass plate, plastic sheet or aluminum foil covered with a very thin layer of adsorbent. The adsorbent is also known as the stationary phase for thin-layer chromatography: often silica gel, alumina or cellulose. Aladdin can provide thin layer chromatography silica plates (TLC plates) as well as TLC spreaders.
