Calibration Weights
A calibration weight is an object on the balance as a quality standard, usually a metal block or metal sheet, which can be used as a more accurate mass to weigh. It is a kind of physical measuring tool with a given mass and a specified shape. Used for calibrating weighing apparatus and measuring on weighing apparatus. The weight must be combined with the balance or scale (the weight used on the scale is often called the weight), can be used to determine the quality of other objects, so it is a subordinate physical measuring tool.
