评价 Tebipenem pivoxil is an orally available pivaloyloxymethyl ester prodrug of the β-lactam antibacterial tebipenem . The ester bond is cleaved, releasing active tebipenem (PubChem CID 9800194; LJC-11036). The drug has Gram-negative activity. Tebipenem pivoxil hydrobromide (SPR994) is another formulation of the same drug.
临床描述 The key purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics (PK) of TBPM-PI-HBr compared to IV ertapenem, in subjects with Complicated Urinary Tract Infection (cUTI) or Acute Pyelonephritis (AP).
