Product Info Vial Contents The vial contains 100 units (2.5unit/ul or 40ul) . Material safety data THIS PRODUCE IS NOT LICENSED OR APPROVED FOR ADMINISTRATION TO HUMANS OR TO ANIMALS OTHER THAN EXPERIMENTAL ANIMALS. The product is sold as an antibody for research purposes only. Safe lab practices should be employed when handling this product. Chemical, physical and toxicological analyses of the product have not been performed. Description There are at least two type II topoisomerases in animal cells: Topo IIaand Topo IIb;? The former is a cell cycle regulated enzyme of 170 kDa and the latter is not related to cell cycle phase and is slightly larger (180 kDa). This mouse monoclonal antibody is directed specifically against purified Topo IIb.? Because the two isoforms are very close in MW, we demonstrate by band shifting analysis combined with Westerns that this antibody reacts predictably with the Beta isoform.
This Reagent Works with the Following 1.? Western blotting: The antibody concentration is provided in “western blotting units” where 1 unit corresponds?to a 1:1000 dilution of antibody to make a working solution of probe. This antibody is supplied at 2.5 unit/ul; thus, 2ul of the AB should be diluted to 5 ml of buffer or water to make a final working solution for probing of a Western blot. 2.? ChIP Experiments: We recommend using this AB either undiluted or partially diluted (1:2 or 1:4 but not greater).? ?Perform a reconstruction experiment in your cell system for optimizing the best dilution. Shipping&storage The antibody is shipped on wet ice and is stable for 6 months at 4°C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -80°C. |
