遇水分解成叔丁醇和CO2，因此瓶装试剂，在吸潮后会导致瓶内压力升高，包装开启时注意个人防护。氨基酸BOC试剂。有机合成中用来引入叔丁氧羰（BOC）保护基团，特别适用于氨基酸的氨基保护。 三叔丁氧羰基保护的肼可以在发色试剂中制备芴甲氧羰基?酯以监测固相醛类。 用于制备叔丁氧羰基保护的胺类的试剂。 用于引入叔丁氧羰基保护基团的试剂。 通过 Lewis 酸催化作用可以保护叔丁氧羰基衍生物等醇类。 通过叔丁氧羰基氨基丙炔与甲醛、二异丙胺以及溴化铜的?反应来制备氨甲基丙二烯，是许多牛血浆胺氧化酶灭活剂?的组分。

Aminomethyl allene was prepared by reaction of Boc propargyl amine with formaldehyde, diisopropylamine and copper bromide as part of a series of Bovine Plasma Amine Oxidase inactivators Protection of alcohols as Boc derivatives via Lewis acid catalysis. Reagent for the introduction of the Boc protecting group. Reagent for the preparation of Boc protected amines. Tris-Boc protected hydrazine allows preparation of Fmoc ester in a chromophoric reagent to monitor solid-phase aldehydes.
