有毒。微有吸湿性。遇有机物等能发生燃烧和爆炸。在高于熔点时分解。易溶于水，极微溶于乙醇和丙酮，几乎不溶于浓酸。盐酸和硝酸能降低其水中溶解度。加热时先分解成亚硝酸钡，再分解成氧化钡。有强氧化性。中等毒，半数致死量(大鼠，经口)355mg/kg。 硫酸和铬酸的定性。 工业上用于制钡化合物, 光学玻璃, 陶器釉药, 炸药, 绿色焰火, 信号弹, 曳光弹等 |
