工业品是浅棕黑色粉末，亦有块状。溶于水而分解成氢氧化钡和硫氢化钡，不溶于乙醇，其水溶液呈强碱性。有腐蚀性。遇酸放出硫化氢，与浓酸加热分解出硫化氢和硫磺。在潮湿空气中易氧化。 用于制钡盐和立德粉，也作橡胶硫化剂及皮革脱毛剂，在农业上用作杀螨剂及灭菌剂。 |
